Jessica Bungay is a Partner in the Fredericton office of Cox & Palmer. She was admitted to the New Brunswick Bar in 2011 after completing her education at the University of New Brunswick. She practices primarily in the areas of employment, labour, human rights and administrative law. Jessica has appeared in the New Brunswick Court of Queen’s Bench, New Brunswick Provincial Court, New Brunswick Court of Appeal as well as before various administrative tribunals.

Adept at handling delicate situations, Jessica helps clients solve immediate workplace issues, while also anticipating potential future issues and establishing a plan to mitigate risks.

Among a small number of younger lawyers in New Brunswick handling a variety of complex workplace legal matters, Jessica is able to provide a high level of service in a very cost effective manner, with the added benefit of truly understanding the challenges and opportunities that generational differences bring to today’s organizations. She has extensive experience addressing issues in both unionized and non-unionized workplaces.

Description:

This session will cover topics such as the #Metoo movement, the legalization of cannabis, upcoming changes to the OHS Regulations, and will provide attendees with relevant and recent case law. Jessica will review several cases that have arisen over the past year here in New Brunswick (as well as in other Provinces) providing advice, tips and take-aways you, as HR Professionals, can implement in your workplace.

Please join us for a high intensity half day session that will cover legal trends in some of the most challenging areas facing HR professionals today.

We encourage you to bring your business leaders along. For those of you in unionized environments, why not invite your union leadership!

Special Notes:

This event is offered in English. Cette présentation  sera en anglais seulement.

Drop-In Attendees are welcomed.

A hot Buffet Breakfast will be served from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.

The presentation is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m.  Bring your business card to enter to win a free breakfast session!

Please note that individuals who register but are unable to attend will be invoiced if they don’t cancel before the registration deadline.
