Pre-Approved Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Program

Our HR professionals are constantly on the lookout for new training opportunities. To better serve our members, CPHRNB offers educational institutions and training organizations the chance to have their programs pre-approved. This allows them to contribute towards the required hours of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) necessary for CPHR designation holders to maintain their status. To qualify, professional development programs must align directly with the HR Competencies outlined in our Competency Framework. Approved programs will be awarded a CPD Pre-Approval Seal. By displaying the CPHR New Brunswick CPD Pre-Approval Seal on your program marketing materials, you demonstrate that your program has been carefully reviewed and approved to ensure CPHR CPD Hours.

For your program to be eligible, it must:

• Be related to HR competencies,
• Be at least one hour in duration, and
• Have a formal registration and attendance tracking system to confirm eligibility for CPHR CPD hours.

Process for having your training evaluated 

The use of the "Approved Seal" on educational program marketing materials indicates that a program has been reviewed and approved to guarantee CPHR CPD hours. 

Obtaining pre-approved status for one or more programs offers the following benefits:  

• The ability to guarantee participants CPHR CPD hours
• The opportunity to promote the course(s) with the CPHR approval seal, enhancing marketing to CPHR designated professionals
• The opportunity to enhance marketing to a growing group of CRSP title holders
• Increased recognition of the quality of the offering.

The requirements

For all new applicants:

Step 1: Review the program guidelines

Step 2: Complete and submit the program application along with all required fields.

For pre-approved providers wishing to submit new courses for review during an active period: Complete and submit the additional course form. Once your program is approved*, you will need to pay an annual fee to obtain a license and the right to use the "Endorsed Seal" label on program-related materials identified in the application.

*Approval status is granted for one year and is based on the number of programming hours requested. Beyond one year, an annual renewal form must be completed.

Fees

The validity of the CPHR New Brunswick CPD Pre-Approval Seal lasts for up to one year for approved programs, starting from the date of approval. During this approval period, there's no need to resubmit your program for review unless there are significant updates or changes to its content.
