CPHR New Brunswick’s Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Standard
CPHR New Brunswick’s CPD Standard mandates a minimum of 10 hours of professional development each year, with a rolling three-year total of 60 hours.

When to Submit
All CPHR holders must report their CPD hours annually on a calendar-based year. CPD hours for each calendar year must be submitted by January 31 of the following year. A late fee will apply for submissions after January 31st.
CPHR holders who have not been in touch with the Registrar about an exemption and have not submitted their CPD log within the 30 days of the deadline will have their CPHR designation revoked pursuant to CPHR New Brunswick’s bylaws.
Note: New CPHR holders are exempt from reporting CPD hours for the year they become certified.
How to Log CPD Hours
To report your CPD hours, follow these steps:
- Log in to your Member profile
- Click on the Green box called ‘Update your PD Log’
- Select the Guide if you want to review the process
- Select Add New Log to input your activities
- Select View PD Logs to see your entered logs to date
By following these guidelines, you will ensure your CPHR designation remains valid and that you continue to meet the professional standards set by CPHR New Brunswick.
Audit
To ensure the integrity and standard of professionalism reflected in the CPHR designation, CPHRNB is required to audit CPD logs. Selection of CPD logs for the purposes of auditing is made on a random basis. You must keep your supporting materials and copy of your submitted log for a period of 36 months. Three per cent (3%) of all submitted CPD logs each year are selected for audit and CPHRs must then provide supporting documents for the activities submitted.
