Description: |

Emera Inc., a diverse energy and services company headquartered in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is dedicated to making mental health in the workplace a priority on par with physical health and safety through their mental health strategy. This was in response to collaborative focus groups as well as surveys with their employees. With rising disability costs and cases related to mental health and substance use, Emera also created an alcohol and drug policy that continues to support their commitment to mental health. During this webinar, hear from Leanne Dixon and Lyne Brun to learn how Emera created steps to address substance use issues in a safety sensitive environment while still providing support services to help employees improve their overall mental health. | ||
