Job Description

Medavie Health Services New Brunswick is the subsidiary of Medavie Health Services responsible for the optimal operation and management of EM/ANB, an integrated, service-led primary health care organization. People are the biggest drivers of our success, and we are excited to continue building a healthier New Brunswick together. As the management company for Ambulance New Brunswick and the Extra-Mural Program, we’re looking for a Human Resources Consultant to help support our growing operation which provides exemplary, highly coordinated primary health care in the right place, from the right provider, at the right time.

Reporting to the Team Lead, Human Resources, the Human Resources Consultant will be the first point of contact for all employee relations and labour relations concerns related to an assigned client group. The Consultant will establish and maintain professional and collaborative relationships with internal clients, stakeholders and bargaining units. Responsible for providing proactive, effective labour relations services, including grievance handling, collective agreement interpretation, overseeing projects and ongoing consultation to all levels of management. The Consultant will work proactively with employees and management to create and maintain initiatives to reach their goals.


Qualifications

The Consultant will have a post-secondary education specializing in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration or relevant discipline plus current, progressive and extensive experience delivering a wide range of human resources services in a complex, multi-union environment. Your education and experience will be complemented by a CHRP designation, either completed or in progress.

Your communication and presentation skills are well established. You are a decision maker with a creative approach to dealing with complex situations. You work independently, are an effective team player who is highly adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You actively participate in outstanding customer service and accept responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

This is a full time temporary 6 month position.


Additional Information

Bilingualism will be considered an asset for this position.
