We are looking for a skilled, dedicated person to fill the position of Payroll / Training Coordinator at our Moncton, NB location (Corporate).

Performs a combination of general accounting and payroll duties including processing payroll and commissions. Performs smooth and effective functioning of training, including online, special events and projects.
Responsible for payroll of 300 employees for bi-weekly period, including hourly and salaried employees
Entering of new hires and employee changes
Calculate new hire pay, termination pay, and any required adjustments to normal pay
Calculation of sales commissions
Tracking of vacations and sick days
Maintain employee records
Responsible for posting payroll and accruals and creation of payroll reports
Reconciling and balancing payroll and benefit statements
Respond to any payroll, commission and benefit related questions from employees
Identify and assess future and current training needs through job analysis, career paths and consultation with various Managers
Draw an individualized training and development plan that addresses needs and expectations
Track training costs including travel and related expenses
Book all travel and accommodations for training activities using corporate travel agency
Track completion of training activities
Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related duties as needed
Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:
Minimum 3 years payroll experience preferably in Ceridian or similar software
University degree or College Diploma in Human Resources, Payroll or equivalent experience
General knowledge of employment laws, policies, and regulations
Understanding of confidentiality policies and other regulatory policies
Experience in administering benefit programs such as pension and health
Ability to coordinate multiple training events
Familiarity with full training cycle
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively
Strong report writing and record keeping ability
Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook)
Occasional travel is required (valid driver's license)
