The Association’s purpose is to promote and encourage members to develop and maintain a professional standard of knowledge and proficiency in our occupational field. CPHRNB’s mandate includes attaining the recognition as a resource on employment issues, as well as promoting and gaining acceptance of the Human Resources field for the distinct body of knowledge it provides in business. We encourage nominations from candidates with:
- CPHR New Brunswick Membership, in good standing
- Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation
- Previous Board experience
- Current practice in the field of Human Resources; working and residing in New Brunswick – Action oriented; results driven leadership style who is committed to the mission, vision, purpose and mandate of the Association
- Ability to work in collaboration with the Board and Chief Executive Officer in the best interests of the members and human resources practice in New Brunswick
- Interest in moving into the CPHRNB President role for the new term beginning in February 2023
COMMITMENT
Candidates should have a true interest in the Associations purpose and mandate and be ready to serve as a key executive member of the Board of Directors by committing 5 to 10 hours per month for document review, board and committee meetings, events, volunteer recruitment and development and strategic initiatives.
The President-Elect will serve in the role for the remainder of the current term. The President Elect will work closely with the current President, Treasurer, Board of Directors, and staff to develop into the role of President in preparation for the elections for the next term starting in February 2023.
WHAT WE OFFER
CPHR New Brunswick provides leadership development for its board members along with the opportunity to connect with other HR community and business leaders across New Brunswick. The CPHRNB Board is, also, engaged in collaborative projects with CPHR Atlantic and CPHR Canada. Board members take pride in having a direct role in the strategic advancement of the Association in support of the operational management directives of the Chief Executive Officer.

Nominations will be accepted until September 6, 2021. Please send an email to admin@cphrnb.ca. Accepted nominations will be presented to the Board of Directors for election during the September CPHRNB Board Meeting.
