Timothy R. Bell | ||
Mr. Bell’s practice is focused on the areas of labour and employment law, as well as administrative law. He has acted as counsel for members of regulated professions providing representation throughout New Brunswick in civil suits and professional discipline matters. He has also appeared in all levels of Court in New Brunswick, as well as before administrative tribunals. More than a year has passed since the Occupational Health and Safety Act’s regulation addressing workplace harassment and violence (the “Regulation”) went into effect. WorkSafe NB has begun enforcing the Regulation. This presentation will review what all employers need to know. In particular, what is a “Code of Practice for Workplace Harassment,” how do employers conduct a “Workplace Assessment for Violence” and which employers need a “Code of Practice for Violence”? The presentation will provide an overview of what is required, where to find the resources, and what we’re seeing on the ground in terms of WorkSafe’s enforcement and potential exposure for employers. |
