Christin Lanteigne NB Employer Support Services (NBESS) Christin Lanteigne worked for over 20 years for the federal and provincial governments with various departments. He also worked in the private sector and had his own consultation firm. He has many years of experience in HR, Management, Health and Safety, Training, Project management, Fisheries management, Aboriginal issues and Economic Development. Over the years, he has been involved in the community as he sat on numerous board of directors in the private sector and non-for-profit as well. His first job coming out of university was as Director of an agency focusing on integrating persons with a disability into the workforce. I guess we can say that it is a full circle for him as for the few years, he is the Manager of the New Brunswick Employer Support Services (NBESS) an agency that supports employers with the hiring of persons with a disability. He believes that he has the best job in the world as on a daily basis, his job is to make a difference in people’s lives. NBESS is funded by the Government of Canada and the Province of New Brunswick through the Canada-New Brunswick Labour Market Agreements and offers services to employers throughout the province of New Brunswick in both official languages. The agency is being sponsored by the Canadian Council on Rehabilitation and Work (CCRW) through their Head Office in Toronto. | ||

Christin Lanteigne will be providing information related to the hiring of persons with disabilities by presenting the ‘Employer’s Guide in Hiring Persons with Disabilities’ which was developed by the NBESS. The guide refers to tools and HR processes related the hiring and retaining of persons with disabilities into the workplace. It will be a great opportunity for employers and HR professionals to find out more about an often ‘untapped talent pool’. | ||

Questions will be answered in both English and French. This session would appeal to HR professionals, business leaders, managers / administrators, business owners, consultants and students.
