Patricia Noble, Office of Human Resources, GNB Patricia (Trish) holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from UNB, earned her Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation in 2006 from the WorldatWork Organization and holds a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation from the International Employee Benefit Plans and Dalhousie University. Trish began her career as a human resources generalist, providing services in recruitment, job evaluation, attendance management, mediation and labour relations management. Since 2005, Trish has been working in the Compensation, Classification and Corporate Research section of the Office of Human Resources with the Government of New Brunswick. Her work involves the design and review of pay plans, wage rates, and classification structures for both unionized and non-unionized employee groups across the public service. | ||

This session will provide participants with the tools to understand how to design a compensation program that is fair and competitive, while at the same time, supportive of their organization’s compensation strategy. This engaging session will help you learn: - How to develop a compensation philosophy and strategy which link to the corporate mission; - The elements of total compensation including base pay, variable pay, pay equity, pay incentives and benefits; - How to build a pay structure and explore the factors which influence base pay structure design; - How to maintain a base pay structure in a changing work environment and/or while dealing with changing workplace demographics. The session also includes a group activity allowing participants to make use of their newly acquired compensation skills and knowledge. | ||
