Presented by Shelly Fowlie, President of Skill Dimensions, this 3.5-hour workshop reviews the purpose and value of the Performance Review Process and using a case study example with hands-on activities, allows participants to build a strategy for leveraging the review process to influence future performance.
Participants will:
•Discuss current trends and the value of the Performance Review Process
•Develop strategies to address the challenges of perceptions, time, effort and commitment.
•Identify opportunities for improvement – long term and quick hits
Topics covered:
•The future of the performance review – let’s not throw the baby out with the bathwater.
•The purpose of a performance review – is it to focus on past performance or is it to influence future performance
•Assessing the perception of value and the effort being placed on the process
•Providing managers with direction, support and skill development in how to prepare and have a coaching conversation that adds value to the employee, appreciates good performance and provides direction and support to achieve performance goals.
•How to make it easier. Providing managers tools and practice in providing feedback that makes an impact. (Going beyond identifying what someone needs to work on and adding the how and why to increase their ability to do it.)
