Don Arsenault Donald Arsenault is a retired professor and former Department Head of the School of Physical Education and Leisure Studies of the Université de Moncton. He did his undergraduate work in arts and physical education at the Université de Moncton and at the University of Ottawa. He continued his graduate studies at the University of Alberta and at Florida State University, where he specialized in teacher-student interaction. Don is a certified Coach (2000) from the Centre for Management and Organization Effectiveness and an accredited Facilitator (2001) for the Insights Discovery Program. He is also Certified (2007) to deliver FranklinCovey’s ‘7 Habits of Highly Effective People’ Signature Program. Don facilitates workshops and gives presentations on a variety of subjects in both official languages. Since 2001, he has been an instructor in the Management Development Program, the Human Resources Management Program and the Public Sector Management Development Program of the College of Extended Learning at the University of New Brunswick, l’Université de Moncton and both Community Colleges in Moncton, NB. He has been selected Instructor of the Year in these programs on ten separate occasions. | ||

Jung, Psychological Reflections In this presentation, Mr. Arsenault will address the need for us to become more aware of behaviours and how this relates to conflict in the workplace. We are what we think. What we think influences our emotions and vice versa. This, in turn determines our behaviour. Our behaviour is manifested in our communication, in our leadership and in our ability to manage difficult situations. The key is to learn to react positively and effectively to personality differences that can result in conflict. Before you can work on dealing with other people’s personalities and behaviours, you have to know your own first. The more we become aware of our own personalities and that of others, the more we can make conscious choices in our behaviour. | ||
