As Director of Irving Health Services with the JDI organization, for the past 9 years, Mary Martell has lead a team of physicians, nurses, certified disability managers, and clinical support staff in laying the foundations for return to work best practices, drug & alcohol programs, wellness and safety. Mary has worked, and continues to work with HR and outside stakeholders in providing a high level of services to the Irving organization’s union and non- union employees. Marilyn Wornell is a graduate of Mount Allison University. Currently she is a Program Manager within the Health Services division of J.D. Irving, Limited. She began her career recruiting for Saint John Shipbuilding during the Frigate program and then transferred to JDI Corporate to work with the Drug and Alcohol program. From the initial policy work required to comply with US Department of Transportation regulations, the program has grown to include all of the JD Irving group of companies. She is a member of DATIA (Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association), a certified Urine Collector Trainer and a Breath Alcohol Technician (BAT) and Certified BAT Instructor. She regularly conducts training with employees on topics including Policy Awareness, Supervisor Awareness for Signs and Symptoms of Drug Use, the Role of the Designated Employer Representative as well as Collector and BAT courses. | ||
