Gayle Wadden and Lesha Van Der Bij | ||
Gayle Wadden, CLO with Optimize Legal As Optimize Legal’s CLO, Gayle oversees all legal research and content development, as well as internal legal matters. Gayle has close to 20 years of experience working in the legal industry. This includes both practicing law as a corporate commercial litigator and leading knowledge management initiatives at national and regional law firms. Gayle is also a legal researcher and developer / provider of legal education programs. She regularly presents to lawyers on a variety of legal topics, including employment standards, wrongful dismissal, human rights, human resource policies and legal compliance. Gayle has also presented to not-for-profit boards of directors and is a mentor and assessor with the Law Practice Program at Ryerson University, working with candidates to develop and hone their legal skills.
As Optimize Legal’s CEO, Lesha establishes the road map and strategy for the company’s legal information products. Lesha has over 20 years of experience working in the legal industry. This includes practicing pensions, benefits and employment law and leading knowledge management initiatives at a national law firm. By leveraging automation and an in-depth understanding of employment and pension legislation, Lesha has developed a range of legal information products relied upon by the top law firms in Canada. Lesha is a regular contributor to SlawTips and Slaw: Canada’s online legal magazine, including most recently: COVID-19 & Employment Standards: Cross-Canada Review Lesha has provided presentations on both substantive law and legal technology at conferences organized by the Ontario Bar Association, Lancaster House, Toronto Association of Law Libraries, the Federation of Law Societies of Canada, and Osgoode Professional Development. |
