He has a particular knack for risk mitigation and aims to resolve matters without unnecessary conflict. However, years of trial experience show that litigation is sometimes a necessary tool to get his clients a fair outcome. When engaged in litigation, Richard appreciates his relationships with opposing counsel and the mutual respect and collegiality that comes hand-in-hand with vigorous advocacy for each lawyer’s client. Richard believes that employers and employees are essential and deserving of fair treatment. In fact, in most cases, employers and employees have many of the same fundamental needs and aims.
