Performance appraisals allow individuals to take a step back and create the time needed to consider an employee’s progress. This break provides an opportunity to highlight the positives while also identifying areas that need improvement. This session aims to help the employee, the supervisor and the organization as a whole. However, for some individuals, the perception is that the efforts in terms of time, energy and financial resources are simply not worth the work. The session will cover the following topics: • Performance appraisal objectives • Business rules and the qualities of a good form • Appraisal errors • A manager’s impact: positive or negative? • Performance appraisal approach: preparing and conducting the meeting • The importance of following up | ||
