Mireille Allain, RCMP After attending St-Thomas University for 2 years (B.A.), Mireille entered the workforce at École Sainte-Anne as an Administrative Assistant. In 1993, she began working with N.B. Crime Stoppers and in 1996, became a 911 Dispatcher/Operational Communications Centre Operator with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and has been with the organization ever since. She has had many professional changes with the RCMP including Human Resources within the Civilian Member Career Manager for the Atlantic Region, followed by a Career Development & Resourcing Advisor for Regular Members. During her years in the workforce, she continued her education; having obtained the H.R. Certificate from UNB's College of Extended College, Third Party Neutral Certificate from CICR, and holds a Q.Med designation. Her newest role with the organization is as the Informal Conflict Management Practitioner for NB and PEI. Mireille is a big believer in volunteer work and community involvement and has been affiliated with the Run for the Cure, the Heart and Stroke Foundation and other worthy causes. | ||

This half-day workshop is designed to provide participants with the competencies required to both engage and facilitate a collaborative discussion. Participants will be introduced to the causes of conflict and the physiological underpinnings that need to be navigated to turn conflict into a positive and informative experience. With the help of a single collaborative communication model, participants will be walked through a four-step process which will help align behaviours with the core values of Appreciated, Inclusion and Respect through communication. | ||
