Jacques Demers Jacques Demers is recognized as a proven professional hockey coach. He began his illustrious career in 1972 as coach of the Chicago Cougars in the World Hockey League; a few years later, in 1979, he became the first head coach of the Quebec Nordiques. His career has also featured coaching stints with the St. Louis Blues and then the Detroit Red Wings. Jacques Demers has enjoyed a most impressive career. He was nominated three times for coach of the year. On his right hand, he proudly wears the Stanley Cup ring captured with the Montreal Canadiens in 1993. He led his team to the conference finals on three occasions. He is also a member of the very select club of five National Hockey League coaches to have coached in more than 1,000 consecutive games. Mr. Demers knows the importance of teamwork, and with unfailing dynamism and verve, he is always happy to share his experience, and by that very fact, to open the doors to success for your company. Alain Samson , Conférencier et formateur, spécialiste du marché du travail On over 1,300 occasions since 1993, Alain Samson has helped numerous organizations meet the challenges they faced . Whether in front of 100 or 1000 people, Alain expertly focuses on the root cause of the issues all while capturing his audience’s attention with his pleasing dry wit and sarcastic humour. By grounding his advice with scientific support, it’s no surprise that Alain’s instruction is as effective as it is entertaining. A prolific author on many occasions (Alain received an honorable mention for best Business book in 2006 for Those Damn Boomers Won’t Live Forever) and his famous Becoming a Better Boss made the best seller’s list for management books in Quebec. Six of his works are available in Europe and French-speaking Africa. Two were translated into Italian, two into Spanish, and ten into Russian. Alain is well known as an expert in the theory of persuasion. Guy Deschênes In 1985, following the closure of a saw mill in his community, Mr. Deschênes, with the help of people around him, decided to invest time and money into fostering collaboration within the community. Thanks to the involvement of two cooperatives responsible for managing timber harvesting and processing activities, Boisaco was created and a new economic wave prospered in the community of Sacré-Cœur creating over 1000 jobs. Recipient of may awards, Guy is a visionary and a go getter, and will share with us the conditions needed for a project to succeed, such as how to mobilize a community. The Municipality of Sacré-Cœur is presented as an example of collective entrepreneurship. Anne Hébert, Directrice - CENB Preface : Workforce is top of the list of the Francophone business community’s main concerns for a sixth consecutive year as reported by the CÉNB.
