Kelly VanBuskirk and Michael McGovern | ||||||||
Kelly VanBuskirk is a senior partner with the law firm of Lawson Creamer with extensive experience in labour, employment and human rights law where he represents employers, employees, administrative tribunals and unions, and also serves as an arbitrator and mediator. Kelly is also an adjunct professor at UNB's Faculty of Business and teaches at UNB’s Faculty of Law. She is widely published in various legal journals and he was also a regular columnist on CBC's Business Network and has been frequently requested to provide legal commentary to The Globe & Mail, CTV News, CBC News and other media. In 2015, Kelly was honoured to receive a Queen’s Counsel designation with respect to his practice of law. Michael McGovern has been with WorkSafeNB since 1996 and is currently Legal Counsel for WorkSafeNB. Most recently Mike was WorkSafeNB General Counsel for five years. Mike practices primarily in corporate law, occupational health and safety law, workers’ compensation law and administrative law. He also guest lectures at the law school at UNB in labour law and construction law and teaches a course in occupational health and safety law at the University of Fredericton. Mike has served as a Legal Officer with the Office of the Judge Advocate General in the Canadian Armed Forces. |
