Elizabeth Eldridge | ||
Elizabeth Eldridge is a Certified Psychological Health & Safety Advisor and professional speaker. After earning her undergraduate degree in music therapy at Acadia University, Elizabeth began her professional journey in the mental health field, serving clients with both acute and chronic mental health problems. In 2012, after identifying the need for mental health education for laypersons, she founded Arpeggio (pronounced “ar-PEJ-ee-oh”) Health Services which has expanded to provide educational opportunities throughout the Atlantic region, including standardized trainings such as the Mental Health Commission of Canada’s Mental Health First Aid program as well as several original programs. Elizabeth’s most recent project has been the launch of Summit Corporate Wellness, a consulting company she founded in 2019, which provides consulting services to companies working to adopt the National Standard on Psychological Health & Safety in the Workplace. Elizabeth eats, sleeps and breaths all things mental health, but finds time for self-care in snuggling up with a good book and her Weimaraner pup, Ruby. |

Description de l'évènement : |

Beyond the legal standards, what does implications mental health have in the Canadian workplace? Participants in this half-day session will learn the “ins and outs” of anxiety and depression—the two most common mental health problems in the country—and practical strategies to navigate conversations about mental health in a way that is sensitive, effective, and appropriate for workplace contexts. Through small and large group discussions, didactic learning and hands-on activities, participants will walk away with a deeper understanding of how to assess and address the psychological health and safety needs of their workplaces, and a game plan for implementing impactful employee wellness initiatives. |
