Program Summary: A canary in a coal mine is an advanced warning of danger - so is a workplace bully. Research shows that more than 70% of North American workers have been impacted by bullying. While employers slowly become more informed of the impacts associated with bullying, HR personnel encounter many challenges when attempting to prevent and respond to it. HR often feels "caught in the middle" - they see the problem and what it's costing (sick leave, stress leave, loss of talent, conflicts, team demotivation, reputation loss) but they don't know how to deal with it. This presentation provides HR with information, training and tools to improve their anti-bullying strategies and bully management. Using a combination of video material, research and story-telling, the "edu-tainment" presentation inspires improved understanding of bullying - how to identify and quantify its impacts. The presentation also provides practical options and action plans for moving forward and eliminating the danger bullies pose. You Will Learn: • The fundamentals of workplace bullying and how to distinguish it from normal workplace interaction • How to quantify the costs associated with a workplace bully • How to develop an action plan for preventing, managing and eliminating bullying • How to recognize and identify typical bullying and understand the motivation behind the behavior • How to approach bullying more strategically and within the context of organizational policies • To appreciate the range of negative bullying repercussions that impact staff, teams, programs and the whole organization Who Should Attend: This webinar will be of interest to people who wish to acquire best practice in the following areas: • achieve much clearer insights on bullying in the workplace • reduce complexity into simple plans for action • make keen judgments about the importance of bullying issues • achieve higher levels of quality decision making • deliver tangible results | ||
