Description: |
Technology: BYOD Policies, Departing Employees and Protecting your Confidential Information - Learn how to stay within the law and protect the rights of the company.
Employers are vulnerable to the whims of departing employees, particularly where they have not taken concrete steps in advance to clearly outline and plan for technology, confidentiality, security and privacy issues that arise when an employee leaves. This vulnerability increases the more senior, and long serving the departing employee is, especially if personal technology was used by the employee to fulfill job responsibilities.
In this presentation, you will learn:
- The importance of Bring-Your-Own-Device (BYOD) policies where employees use personal technology for work
- The scope of an employee’s right to privacy at work
- Other policies and contractual terms to consider to secure your business and mitigate risk
