Sally Wells | ||
Sally graduated from Memorial University in Newfoundland in 1977 with a Bachelor of Social Work, followed by five years working in Psychiatry and Family Medicine. In 1985 she graduated with a Law Degree from the University of New Brunswick and was admitted to the Law Society of New Brunswick in 1987. Sally practiced law in a small firm, followed by a ten-year term at The Law Society of New Brunswick where she was the Director of Continuing Legal Education. For the past 24 years she has operated a successful practice as a Workplace Consultant in Atlantic Canada. Sally teaches Alternative Dispute Resolution at the UNB Law School. Sally is well known for her sense of humour, joie de vivre and her ability to make people laugh while learning. She can be in a hard hat and construction boots one day and be in a boardroom or municipality the next day. Her examples are all real and very practical, and she ties theory and practice together. A very special gift indeed. |

Description: |
||
How does conversation help resolve conflict? Like any good critical conversation, a conversation designed to help resolve conflict should follow a common process: examine the issue, options, and ideas; decide on solutions; and then get moving and evaluate the results of the conversation. In this session, Sally Wells will provide you with the tools needed to resolve conflicts through creating the right conversations.
